Albert P. Hoffman

age 96, of Canton died Saturday in Compassionate Care Center following an extended illness. Born in Sharon, PA he was the son of the late Albert J. and Jedidah (Poole) Hoffman and lived in Canton most of his life. He retired from Dyner Products in 1982, was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter's Men's Club/Holy Name Society and the Canton Elks where he served as Exhaulted Ruler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Hoffman who died in 2008. He is survived by his son: Albert J. (Diana) Hoffman of Port Charlotte, FL; daughter: Christine J. (Eugene) Dowing of Canton; 8 grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grand children; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery on Tuesday at 10:00 am with Fr. Edward L. Beneleit officiating. Donations may be made in his name to St. Peter Catholic Church.
