Beverly J. Yoerns,

age 93, of North Canton died Thursday in Mercy Medical Center, Born in Newark NJ she was the daughter of the late Glenn & Florence (Freeman) Phillips and had lived in the Stark County area most of her life. She was a graduate of McKinley High School, a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton, St. Paul's Ladies Guild and was an avid bowler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her high school sweet heart and husband of 66 years: William Yoerns; sons: Robert Yoerns, Jeffrey Yoerns and son-in-law: Pete Melchior. She is survived by her daughters: Judith Melchior of Massillon, Cheri (Rich La Monica) Leach of Canton; grandchildren: Gina (Doug) Maragas, Pete Melchior, Kelly (Paul) Mastricovo, Tim (Tammy) Leach, Tara Cline, Todd (Melissa) Leach; great-grandchildren: Natalie, Samantha, Megan, Tim, Tyler, Luke, Chris, Kacie, Riley, Cade and Kason. Beverly was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be truly missed by her family. A Funeral services will be Saturday February 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Fr. Daniel Finnerty officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the funeral home.
