Gloria M. Parker, age 81, of North Canton, cashed in her chips and crossed over on April 8, 2018. Loving wife & mother, she was a life resident of Stark County and was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Graham) Turner. She was a 1955 graduate of McKinley High School and retired from Meals on Wheels as a meal facilitator. Gloria was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, where she taught Sunday school and in 2016 received the St. Haralambos Ladies Philoptochos Society of Distinction. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Sam (Papadopulos) Parker; beloved step-father: Jim Scott: son: George S. Parker and brother David Turner. She is survived by her son: James Parker; brother: Roger Scott; sister: Judy Smith; grandchildren: Anthony Parker, Ariana Parker and Andrew Parker. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home and one hour before the service Thursday at the church. There will be a Trisagion Service at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
