passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

John was born in Canton, Ohio April, 6 1950, of the late John Burgess and

Violet Wilson.

John is survived by his Aunt Barbara Zaharie , many cousins and friends

from Scenic Point Nursing Home where he lived for over 30 years.

John was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Andrew and Anna Zaharie,

uncle Andy, uncle John and Doris Zaharie, uncle Gene and Reba Zaharie.

Attended Canton South High School

John served in Viet Nam with the US Army Airborne with a honorable disability discharge.

John was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Special thanks to every one at the Scenic Point Nursing Home for all their loving and

compassionate care as he thought of them as his second family and home.

Funeral services will be Friday at 12 noon in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Rev. Gary A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. There will be no calling hours.
