The entire Ebert family sends their condolences. We all "knew" Cara through our mother Betty Ebert who had the pleasure of working with Cara at Southgate School many years ago. Mom's memory isn't as sharp as it once was but she remembers Cara well and very fondly and was sad to hear of her passing. My favorite story about Cara was when she helped name Mom & Dad's two new puppies (brother & sister) some 18 years ago. Someone mentioned to Cara that the little female pup was cute as a button and she said they should name them Button and Bow. They tweaked that just a bit and the pups became Buttons and Beau. When the remaining pup died just a few weeks ago, Mom & I reminisced about Cara's role in naming them.

Ruth and Robert,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved daughter Cara. She was so special and bright. Cara lit up the room wherever she went. She inspired others to be positive, and do more through her zest for life. Everyone that has worked with Cara at Siffrin has grown to truly care for Cara as a friend, and will never forget her. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Kim Larson-Phillips

I am deeply sorry for your loss. It was a blessing to have gotten to know Cara better this past year in my classroom and I feel lucky to have had the privilege of taking care of her. She was so sweet and had such a wonderful personality! I will miss her so much!

A blanket of prayers are being sent to ease the grief of losing your daughter. Your family has been an inspiration and an example of love. I have learned thru your family what a never ending commitment looks like. Cara was a gift, just like your son. Life will change, but the lessons Cara taught us, the unending love shared between your family and friends will be imbedded in the hearts of many. With hearts inspired may we honor Cara (and your family) by being kind and compassionate to one another. God Bless, Peace

It was a blessing to have met Cara! She received more love and affection from her family than anyone I know. She gave more back, also. As much as she'll be missed the treasured memories of her will go on in the hearts of her parents and brother. We were looking forward to her being a part of our "family" with the marriage of Robb and Katharine. May God keep Cara in his loving embrace till we all meet again!
