Connie (Constantine) B. Garvey,

age 84, of Canton, died Thursday June 22, 2017.. Born in Johnstown, PA she lived in Canton most of her adult life. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh receiving a B.S. degree in nursing, retiring from the Stark County Health Department. In her post retirement, she enjoyed working at Cook's North Market Marathon for many years. Connie has always felt blessed by family and friends. Her greatest strength was her tireless care of her loved ones. She is survived by her sons: Kevin Garvey of Canton, Patrick (Davene) Garvey of Silver Lake, OH; daughters: Brenna (Timothy) Schweizer of Canton, Kathleen Garvey of Canton; sister: Linda (Joseph) Werfel of Berlin, PA; grandchildren: Brandy, Andrew, Derrick, Tyler, Patrick, Trevor and one great-grandchild: Breely. She was preceded in death by her husband: John F. Garvey (2008). Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Rev. Gary A. Smith. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the funeral home.
