Dorothy A. Cromi,
age 89, of Canton died Saturday following a prolonged illness. A life resident of Canton, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Pauline Fusko. She was a 1945 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, worked as a legal secretary and for 15 years with her husband Bernie, ran the Steel Deck Institute until their retirement in 1997. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister; the St. Peter's Ladies Guild/Women's Club and was part of the St. Peter's Bereavement Luncheon Committee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard E. Cromi in 2016 and son: Bernard T. Cromi in 2010. Dorothy is survived by son: Richard (Patty) Cromi of N. Canton; daughter: Jane (Jerry) Perez of Providence, Rhode Island; brother: Joseph Fusko of Canton; grandchildren: Ellen, Natalie and Marie. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Edward L. Beneleit as celebrant. A private burial for the family will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
