Gerald A. Needs,

age 82, of Canton died Thursday evening, following a brief illness. A life resident of Stark County he was the son of the late Harry & Iseabell (King) Needs, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Ecko Products. He was a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, American Legion Post #44, V.F.W. #693 and Amvets Post # 124. He is survived by his nieces: Patty Pantella, Kathleen Wilson, Collen Riter and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Very Reverend John E. Sheridan Rector.  Burial with military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery.
