Nancy Ann (Alkire) Hayes 1939-2018

Nancy Ann Hayes, age 79, of Canton, was released into the arms of Jesus Tuesday evening. Born in Belmont Ridge, Ohio she lived in the Canton area most of her life. She was a 1957 graduate of McKinley High School and retired from the Hoover Company in 2002 after 30 years of service. Family was very important to Nancy, she is survived by her nieces: Cristal (John) Piero, Shannon (Ralph) Travise; numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Hayes; her brothers: Gerald Alkire, Darryl “Rusty” Alkire and sister: Madeline Haines. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Chaplain Joseph Kampert officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may made to the St. Luke's Lutheran Home Activities Department.
