Rafael F. Nunez 1945-2018

Rafael Nunez entered this earth on May 22, 1945, and lived his life joyfully until he left us on October 27, 2018. Loved dearly by those he left behind, Ralph is survived by Patricia, his wife of 18 years, his brother Karlos (Joanne) Nunez, his children Rafael (Valerie) Nunez, Lisa (Tom) Haaf, and Michele Nunez, his step children Chris (Marcy) Boni and Angela Boni, close cousin Bill (Nan) Fortier, in-laws Jim Burns and Jetta Flowers and Michael and Sharon Burns, and his 5 grandchildren who loved spending time with their Abuelo.

Ralph proudly served in the Air Force and loved his job at Hendrickson Manufacturing. After retiring, Ralph and his “cohort in crime” Bobby (Barb) Steiner loved entertaining family and friends with stories of their escapades at work!

Ralph loved his life and found great joy in nearly everything he did. Being outside working on his many projects, growing beautiful flowers and vegetables, and caring for his pool and “private” beach always made him smile. And everyone who knew him would agree that the atmosphere always changed when Ralphy entered the room. Ralph Nunez was a good man and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

At Ralph’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. Family and friends will gather at a later time to share a meal in Ralph’s honor. The Wackerly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
