Allen L. Beard,

Age 70, of Canton, died Sunday following a brief illness. A life resident of Canton he was son of the late Thomas and Margie (Grindsteff) Beard, was a graduate of Glenwood High School and served in the U. S Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from Resco Products, was a member of First Christian Church in Canton and the Army Navy Club Canton Post 152. He is survived by his wife: Gloria (Clark) Beard of the home; Bobby (Taressa) Beard of Canton, Tommy Beard of Freeport, OH; daughter: Trudy Hunt of Canton; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Keith Beard. A private service will be held in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
