Ann Marie Smith

Age 88 passed away suddenly on September 22, 2022 following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Stark County she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lena Khourey. She was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School, worked for Canton Municipal Courts as an assignment commissioner, Lake Township as zoning inspector, Trumbull Industries as a kitchen and bath designer. She was lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Ann Marie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Matthew and Catherine Smith of Westlake, Ohio; daughter: Kathleen Smith of Canton; grandchildren: Michael, Jacob and Hannah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Denny Smith who died in 2015; brothers: Louis Khourey and Joseph Khourey. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Deacon Michael T. Seaman officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the funeral home. Donations may be made in her name to the Stark County Humane Society.
