Austin L Healy

Austin L. Healy, age 26, from the Canton area, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2024. Austin was born on November 18, 1997, to William J. Healy II and Donghang Zhang. He graduated from GlenOak High School in 2016, where he excelled as an honor student and was a talented drummer in the Marching Band. Austin was kind and humble with a sense of humor. He loved nature and animals and was an enthusiastic skier and snowboarder. His passions also included traveling, soccer, competitive table tennis, and playing various musical instruments. Austin was a proud homeowner who relished exploring exotic foods, but was also a master on the backyard grill. Austin exhibited a remarkable aptitude for technology and mechanics from an early age. He attended the University of Akron and Kent State University before embarking on a career in the automotive and motorcycle industries. Austin treasured his family and friends the most. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, William J. Healy and Yulin Zhang. Austin is survived by his loving parents, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Healy, his step-grandmother, Barb Healy, and his maternal grandmother. He is also survived by three loving aunts, two uncles, and three first cousins. Austin’s memory will be fondly cherished by his extended family and dear friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth. A memorial service will be held at Wackerly Funeral Home, 1375 Market Ave. N., Canton, Ohio 44714, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Rev. Mark Pruitt will officiate. Calling hours will begin at 2:00 PM, with the service to follow at 3:00 PM. Condolences may be expressed online at www.wackerlyfuneralhome.com.
