Carl A. Thoman III, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Monday following an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Stark County, he was the son of the late Carl and Helen (Carmany) Thoman Jr., graduated from Louisville High School, and retired as owner/operator of Kitchens & More, Inc. in Uniontown. He was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville where he served as an Elder and Deacon. Carl enjoyed fishing at Leesville Lake even though he didn’t catch as many as his wife, Susan. He loved writing and singing country music and recorded his own songs in Nashville. He continued singing up until the last few days of his life. He is survived by the love of his life Susan (Alt) Thoman; daughter: Carla Thoman (Philip DiMarzio) of Phoenix, AZ; sons: Patrick (Sherry) Thoman of North Canton, Mike Thoman of Milford, PA; brothers: Barry Thoman, Bruce (Patti) Thoman all of Louisville; grandchildren: Clayton Allen, Samuel (Tori) Thoman, Brooke Thoman, Isabelle Thoman, Sophia Thoman and Bryce Thoman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am at Paradise United Church of Christ with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Wackerly Funeral Home at 1375 Market Ave North, Canton, Ohio 44714. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Aultman Cancer Center.
