Claude A. Kaplenk
Age 60, died Saturday following a brief illness. Born in Cleveland he was the son of the late Frank & Alice (Svec) Kaplenk and had lived in Canton most of his life. He was a graduate of McKinley High School, worked in construction in masonry and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He survived by his brothers: Craig Kaplenk of Canton, Kenneth Kaplenk of Minerva; several cousins and special friend: Traci Schonover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Christopher Kaplenk who died in 1989. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Very Revered John E. Sheridan STL as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
