Cynthia A. Erlitz
Age 86, died Thursday August 10, 2023 following a brief illness. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio she had lived in the Canton area most of her life. She retired from Canton City Schools in 2002 working as a community service worker, was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Canton Junior Guild, Stark County Coaches Wives Association and was a volunteer at the House of Loreto Nursing Home. She is survived by her son, Mark (Jane) Erlitz of Canton; daughter, Darby (Chip) Bolender of North Canton; grandchildren, Britney (Brandon) Peoples, Kendra (Joe) Carpenter, Jacob Dummermuth, Griffin (Samantha) Erlitz and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Erlitz who died in 1998. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:00 AM in St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Opkara as celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. The Wackerly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
