Donna J. Essig

Age 94, of North Canton, died Thursday following an extended illness. Born in Irondale, Ohio she lived in the Stark County area most of her life. She was a graduate of Irondale High School worked at the Ford Motor Company and Macombers. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, was an avid bingo player, enjoyed watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indians. She is survived by her son: Timothy (Kathy) Essig of Conneaut, Ohio; daughter: Susan (Brian) Hoopes of Cortland, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Essig and son: James Essig II. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Pastor Marva Hoopes officiating.
