Dorothy J. Wright Lang, age 84, of Canton Township passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday October 31, 2024. Born February 1st, 1940 in Canton Ohio, she was the only child of the late Wilbert and Kathryn (Rumschlag) Wright. Dorothy was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School. As a young woman, her aspiration was to serve the Lord as a nun. Instead, God called her to the vocation of marriage to her high school sweetheart Donald on January 16th, 1960. Initially, Dorothy and Donald were told that they would not be able to have children, but through prayer and God’s grace, she delivered her first set of twins in 1962. She was blessed with two single births and another set of twins in the coming years. She devoted her life to her husband, and raising her six children with grace and dignity. Dorothy was a lover of animals of every kind, with a life full of pets including dogs, cats, birds, donkeys, goats (and mice). She leaves behind her furry best friend and companion Rusty. She was also an avid Cleveland Guardians and Cavaliers fan.
Dorothy was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Canton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage. She is survived by her six children: Theresa Lopez of Canton Township, Lisa (Dave) Stephens of Jackson Township, Joseph (Janet) of Canton, Chris (Jessica Falvo) of Canton Township, Jennifer (Scott) Saunders of Plain Township, and Jeffrey (Sarah) of North Royalton. Seventeen grandchildren: Jill Anne (Bill), Joshua, Patrick (Kristen), Jacob, Lauren (Joey), Jonathon, Connor, Olivia, Caleb (Mary), Emma, Jackson, Sara, Nora, Sean, Ronan, Grady, and Lucy.
