Elizabeth M. Evans,

Age 81, of Louisville, died Friday following an extended illness. A life resident of Stark County she was a daughter of the late Robert and Julia (Halter) Evans. She was a 1955 graduate of Central Catholic High School and in 1996 retired from Timken Mercy Medical Center. Her memberships included St. Mary/St. Benedict Catholic Parish, Senior Friends of Mercy, volunteered as a secretary for parish nurses and at the Mercy Medical Center Gift Shop. She is survived by her sister: Clare Evans of the home; brothers: Br. Mark Evans O.S.B. of Latrobe, PA David (Margaret) Evans of St. Paul, IN; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: Fr. Martin Evans, James Evans and sister Mary Ann Villard. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home.
