Eric F. Maxin

Age 71, of Massillon died Monday December 15, 2025, following a brief illness. A life resident of Stark County he was the son of the late George & Mary (Hurtuk) Maxin Jr. A 1972 graduate of Canton Lehman High School, he retired in 2021 from Republic Steel, was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and enjoyed beach vacations with his family. He is survived by his sons: Timothy (Dawn) Maxin of Cleveland, Michael (Tara) Maxin of Helena, AL; former wife: Rebecca (Jones) Maxin of Canton; brother, George (Sandy) Maxin III of Louisville; sisters: Nancy (Rich) Ross of Lakewood, OH Carol (Mark) King of Tucson, AZ, Marlene Maxin of Massillon; five grandchildren: Jacob, Carter, Anabelle, Mason and Madelyn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his nephew, Matthew Maxin. Mass of Christian of Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener D. Min as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
