Florence M. DeGirolamo

Age 91, Died Thursday following an extended illness. Born in Middlebranch, OH, she was the daughter of the late Achillo and Concetta (Altieri) Rainieri and lived in the Stark County area most of her life. She was a 1948 graduate of Mount Marie Academy and retired from the Hoover Company in 1976. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, very active member of the Little Flower Altar and Rosary Society and the Hoover Historic Society. She is survived by her sons: Joseph (Susan) DeGirolamo of Henderson, NV, Robert (Cheryl) DeGirolamo of Huron, OH, James DeGirolamo of Derby, NY, Anthony (Rebecca) DeGirolamo of Canton; daughter: Theresa (Daniel) McKenna of Houston, TX; brothers: John Rainieri of Uniontown, Joseph Rainieri of Mogadore; sisters: Veronica Priest of Dallas, TX, Nancy Rainieri of Fairlawn; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; cousins: Luisa DeGirolamo, Carlo DeGirolamo, Maria DeGirolamo Pinto, and Assunta DeGirolamo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Anthony DeGirolamo who died in 2020; brothers: Anthony Rainieri, Michael Rainieri; sister: Margaret Mowery; brother-in-law: Earl Mowery and sister-in-law: Betty Rainieri. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at Little Flower Catholic Church in Varble Hall with the Very Reverend Canon Christopher Henyk as celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the church in Varble Hall.
