George Ronald Keeton, age 86, passed away on May 8, 2023. George was born on February 20, 1937 to George and Sara Keeton in Caldwell, Ohio. George graduated from McKinley High School in 1955 and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He worked at and retired from Union Metal Manufacturing and the City of Canton. George and Emily (Silveri) married in 1961 and went on to have three children, Anthony, Georgann and Kristine. They shared many happy years together. George was charismatic, witty and kind. He loved telling stories about his days growing up, playing golf and spending time with his family. George was preceded in death by his wife Emily, daughter Kristine, and daughter in-law, Donna. He is survived by his son, Anthony G. Keeton, daughter Georgann (Doug) Foltz, grandchildren Ashlee (Grant) Lawson, Tyler (Tessa) Foltz, Steven (Jennifer) Foltz, Anthony (Kirsten)Keeton and Alexis (Nick), great grandchildren Nora, Benjamin and Carson and best friend of eighty years, John Meyers Our family would like to thank the staff and nurses at St. Joseph’s Senior Living Center, Aultman Hospital and Aultman Palliative & Hospice Care. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church 726 Cleveland Avenue N.W. Canton, Ohio at 10:00 am with the Very Reverend John E. Sheridan STL as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Peter Catholic Church.
