Helen C. Jones

Age 92, died Saturday July 13, 2024 following an extended illness. A life resident of the Canton area she was the daughter of the late Robert & Leona (Schweizer) Hambach Sr. She was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School, was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for St. Joan of Arc School Pack #39. Helen is survived by her son, Robert (Patricia) Jones Jr of Smithsburg, MD; sister, Carol Freday of Canton; grandchildren: Robert Jones III, Benjamin (Kelli) Jones, Phillip Jones, Sarah (Mitchell) Race, Aaron Jones, Scott Jones; great-grandchildren: Page, Kendall, Benjamin Keith, Phoenyx, Sadie, Max, Mary and Allison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones Sr who died June 26, 2024; son, Thomas Jones and brother, Robert Hambach. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Fr. Scott Kopp officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
