James R. Johnson
Age 63, died Friday October 14, 2022 following a brief illness. A life resident of Stark County he was the son of Russell and Gertrude Johnson and was a 1978 graduate of Louisville High School. He was a 24 plus year employee of Beiry Cheese and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Maximo. In Addition to his parents, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 28 year: Betty (Piechowski) Johnson who he married December 17, 1994; daughter: Jennifer (Joshua-Paul Tully) Johnson; sister: Maryanne Hill; stepbrother: Michael Yeater; stepsons: Joseph (Heather Morgan) Judy, Robert (Jody) Welsh, Todd Welsh; stepdaughters: Lisa (John) Decker, Heather (Shane Davis) Ware; grandchildren: Riley, AnnMarie; step-grandchildren: Alexa, Dylan, Jesse, Jacob, Taylor, Alex, Elias, Hailey; nephews: James Johnson and Rodney Feaster. He was preceded in death by his sister: Monica Feaster; step-grandchild: Caleb Ware and niece Amy Johnson. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church Maximo with Fr. David G. Weikart as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Maximo. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home and Friday morning 9:00 to 10:00 am in the church. Jim was always known as loving husband, father, stepfather, papa, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Donations may be made to the family.
