James V. “Jim” Norch, age 83 of Jackson Twp, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024. Born in Canton, Ohio, on August 13, 1941, to the late James Norch and Delores (Bierly) Jones. He was loved by all. Jim owned and operated Bierly-Litman Locksmith Company for many years along side of his family and sons. Jim was an avid bowler and was recently inducted into the Stark County USBC Hall of Fame. Jim was a member of Lake Cable where he loved to fish with his family. Besides fishing, Jim loved spending time with his sons/grandchildren and would never miss an event involving the grandkids. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Rebecca Norch who he adored.Survivors include his three sons, Jason (Jennifer) Norch, Eric Norch, Steve Norch of Canton Ohio, a sister, brother and 5 grandchildren.A service will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 10 am in St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718 with Rev. Bruce Roth officiating. Calling hours will be on Thursday evening October 3rd, 2024, at Wackerly Funeral Home, 1375 N. Market Ave., Canton, OH 44714 from 4-7 pm. Condolences may expressed online at www.wackerlyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to J Babe Stern Center.
