Jean D. RyanAge 87 died Wednesday October 23, 2024, following an extended illness. A life resident of Stark County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn & Dolores (Harbert) Goss. She was a 1955 graduate of Canton McKinley High School, worked as an LPN at Timken Mercy Medical Center and Atrium South. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Canton Jaycees Women’s Auxiliary and the Canton Juniors Women’s Club. She enjoyed volunteering at F.I.S.H. Food Harvest and was an avid tennis player. Jean is survived by her sons: Tim (Patty) Myers, Tom (Julie) Myers all of North Canton; daughters: Patti (Rick) Caley of North Canton, Janel Newell of Canton; sisters: Glenda Grimsley of Canton, Eleanor (Stu) Phillips of Westerville, OH; grandchildren: Tim (Angel) Myers Jr., Nick (Grace) Caley, Chris Myers, Lindsey (Neal) Caley Hamilton, Alexandra (Jeff) Caley Polen, Erica (Zac) Caley Troyer, Hunter Newell, Griffin Newell, Ella Newell and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ryan, sisters, Betty Anderson and Marilyn Quinn. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday November 12, 2024, at 11:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener as celebrant. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.. Friends may call Tuesday morning November 12, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Casual Dress for all services is appreciated. Donations may be made in her name to St. Peter Catholic Church.
