John A “Sonny” Burns Sr,

Age 91, of Canton died Tuesday. Born in Brooklyn, New York he had lived in the Canton area most his life was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Canton and served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his son: John Burns Jr of Navarre; sister: Peggy Sloan of North Ft Myers, FL; nephew: Ronald Sloan; niece: Susan Sloan and his loving companion and dancing partner: Mary Kunkel. Services will be private and entombment will take place on Monday in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
