Joyce Risaliti, born on September 1, 1939, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Jim and Ruth Howard (Hartsel) and has now been reunited with her parents, along with her brothers Roger and Robert Howard, and her second husband, Dave Risaliti.
Joyce is survived by her two devoted sons, Richard Miller and his wife Kelli of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mark Miller of Canton, Ohio. She cherished her family, including her sister Lora (Skeet) Ury of Canton, Ohio; her four grandchildren, Megan and Averi Miller of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Amber and Mark Miller of Georgetown, Kentucky; and her great-grandchild, Leo Ramirez of Georgetown, Kentucky. Joyce also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Joyce cultivated lasting friendships, particularly with Dick and Cindy Miller, Pat Fugate, Joyce Shook, Margaret Scheuffler, Donna Robson, and Don Appollonio and her friends that she played cards with at American Legion of Louisville and Canton and VFW #3747.
A proud member of the North Canton Chapel, Joyce was actively involved in the American Legion of Louisville and Canton, VFW#3747, as well as the Sons and Daughters of Herman Massillon Lodge. She enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Stark County Job & Family Services and Union Metal. Joyce graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1957, a testament to her lifelong dedication to education and personal growth.
Joyce had a vibrant spirit and was passionate about her hobbies. She loved playing cards, mastering games like Euchre, Pinochle, and Poker. An avid baker, she won numerous pie contests at the Stark County Fair, showcasing her culinary talents. Joyce was also an exceptional bowler, competing for over 60 years and proudly finishing 12th in the state of Ohio Women’s Bowling Association (USBC) among US amateur bowlers in 2003.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, laughter, and community service will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Funeral services will be Wednesday January 21, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Rev John Mangrum officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
