June Schott Obituary

June Irene Schott, 79, passed away on July 25, 2021 after an extended illness.  She spent her early life in Antrim, Ohio.  She moved to Canton, Ohio where she spent the rest of her life and raised her three children.  June retired from the City of Canton where she worked for the Income Tax, Water Billing and Building departments.  She enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening, and decorating.  She had a way of making things beautiful.  June is survived by her loving husband Joseph with whom she shared her life for over 59 years; her son Joseph (Peggy) of Mundelein, IL, daughters Jennifer Schott of North Canton, Ohio and Jeannine (Scott) Neill of Stow, Ohio; grandchildren Dan (Julia), Brandon (Samantha), Cameron, William, James, Nicholas, Benjamin, Adam, and Claire; great-grandchildren Addisen, Patrick, Bennett, and Ryan; sisters Mabel (Bob) Wurst, Elsie (Scott) Oelslager, Ruth Jones, and Wanda Weinand; sisters-in-law Mary Rohr and Diane Evans, and brother-in law Dean Schott.  June was preceded in death by Walter Price and Helen Gardiner, parents, and by Harrison Schott, grandson.  June also leaves behind her rescued dog Schatzi who was always in her arms or on her lap being spoiled endlessly.  June was loved immensely by her family.  She lived as an angel and served God, her family, and those she met along the way.  She gave of herself tirelessly with unmatched kindness as long as she could, and she will never be forgotten.

A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the Servant Parish in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, July 30, 2021 with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano as celebrant. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.

In her memory, donations may be made to June's favorite charity which she supported for years:  Epilepsy Foundation of Ohio at 120 West Second Street, Suite 425, Dayton, Ohio 45402.

The family also wishes to thank the staff at the Gables of Green, especially Mary Kate McHugh and Morgan Kirkpatrick, for their loving care. The Wackerly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
