Kathryn L. Slagle

Age 78, died Saturday following an extended illness. A life resident of Canton she was the daughter of the late Benjamin “Carlos” & Edith (Swingle) Parrish. She attended Canton McKinley High School and was a member of Village Baptist Temple. Her employment including working as a waitress at Tim’s Tavern and a home health care aid at Interim Health Care. She is survived by her sons: Randy Slagle of Canton, Jeff Slagle of Tampa, FL, Carl (Debbie) Slagle of Canton; daughters: Vickie (Allan) McQuaid of Canton, Kathy (Charles) Warrick of Canton; sister, Sandra Petry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Slagle who died in 2004, daughter, Dawn Slagle who died in 2011; brothers: Benjamin Parrish, Ronnie Parrish and sister, Roberta Elifritz. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Maze officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
