Kyle Schaffner, age 58, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Born in Trenton, Michigan, Kyle was the son of the late Stephen and Linda Schaffner. He was a 1987 graduate of Perry High School, proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and worked for Ohio Grating Manufacturing. Kyle was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was proud to be a veteran and carried a deep appreciation for his time serving his country. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Whether he was sharing stories or enjoying the outdoors, Kyle treasured every moment spent with family. His sense of humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be remembered by all who knew him He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jennifer Schaffner of the home; his daughters, Melanie (Michael) Romano and Brittney (Izel ) Schaffner, and son Justin Schaffner all of Canton. He is also survived by his brothers, Kirk (Lorri) Schaffner of Canton, Kory (Jessica) Schaffner of Lake Mohawk, Kent (Lynette) Schaffner of North Canton, and Kody Schaffner of Canton; his beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Abbigail, Izebelle, and Orion; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Kyle’s love for his family, pride in serving his country, appreciation for the outdoors, and the countless memories he created with those he loved will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday June 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the North Canton Eagles F.O.E. 2223, 6979 Sunset Strip Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44720. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio on Thursday June 25th, 2026, at 9:15 am with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kyle’s memory to S.A.M. Center (Serving Area Military Veterans), 413 Lincoln Way East, Massillon, Ohio 44646.
