Lawrence E. Richard, age 94, died on 1/14/2026 at his Canton home with his daughters, Jennifer Graber, Kelly Newland and girlfriend, Mariam Losey by his side. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer, son Larry Richard (wife Amanda), grandchildren Johnathan, Tina, Nolan, Wyatt, Larry Jr, Summer, and Penelope. He was preceded in death by his children Lawrence Jr, Deborah, and Daniel as well as grandchildren Amanda and Ruby. As patriarch to the Richard family, he was a loving brother to survivors Tim (Becky) and John (Charlotte) as well to those siblings who preceded him in death, Joy, Joyce, Harold Jr, and David Sr. They were the children of Harold Sr and Margie (Ledford). Lawrence was a United State Marine who served during the Korean War. Lawrence was a devoted Christian who wants the circle of family and friends to never be broken. He loved to sing and lead many different churches and special Gospel groups in worship. He was a Teamster and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes/Cleveland sports fan. He primarily worked at Livingston’s Furniture and Miller Sales/Best Products. He was a Timken High School graduate. His smile lit any place up that he entered and people knew when he was present. Firm in his beliefs, his charisma and charm were truly unmatched. In the end, love everyone and do not lose that love, even in dark times, as love overcomes all with its light.
