Loretta A. (Lori) Baum, age 67 years old passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 from a long battle from Alzheimer's. Formerly from East Canton, she resided in Navarre where she and Denise built their dream home. Lori was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Betty Baum, sister Kathleen Miller, mother and father in-law Bob and Nancy Kuebel and son Jason Welch. She is survived by her spouse Denise Welch, sons Jason (Ljupka Popovic) Hendershot of PA, Ryan (Kelly) Hendershot of Canton, Mike Welch of Canton, brother Guy (Ruth) Baum of Florida and sister Rosemary ‘Cookie’ (Ray) Davis of Navarre and sister-in-law Deanna (Brian) Pike of Floria. She had 4 granddaughters, a grandson and 5 great-grandchildren. Lori worked for the Board of MR/DD and TWI for 30 years. She ran the MR/DD snack shop for Canton City Hall which she was very proud of and known for her pepperoni rolls. She was also involved in the Special Olympics, coached cheerleading for East Canton and was a Union representative. One of her greatest accomplishments was being very involved in helping build the East Canton Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. There will be no calling hours though a celebration of life will be held at a future date. A big Thank You to the staff at Hennis Care of Bolivar- you're all the best.
