Marilyn J. Maxin
Marilyn J. Maxin, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, age 94, went home to her beloved Jesus on Sunday March 22, 2026, following a brief illness. A life resident of Stark County she was the daughter of the late Walter & Frances (Berlyoung) Scharver and attended Mt Marie Academy. She is survived by her sons: Nicholas Maxin II of Strongsville, Christopher (Kellie) Maxin of Nashville, TN, Gregory (Theresa) Maxin of Canton; daughter, Lynn (George) Doerschuk of Canton; grandchildren: Andrew (Jessica), Amy (Daniel), Brian (Rachel), Molly, Anna; great-grandchildren: Teagon, Grayson, Luke, Addison, Blake and sister-in-law, Helen Reichard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Maxin, daughter, Monica Maxin, grandson, Noah Maxin, brothers, Howard Scharver, Gordon Scharver and Dale Scharver. Funeral services will be on Friday at 12 noon in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Pastor Bret Faris officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:30 am to 12 noon in the funeral home.
