Patricia Kathryn Skarren, “Tish”, of Canton, Ohio, age 79, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away on Tuesday evening, April 30, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on April 28, 1945, in Pekin, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents Kathryn and Russell Kidd, and Grandson Collin Wagner. She was married for 58 years and is survived; by her loving husband, William P. Skarren, son William Corey Skarren and daughter-in-law Gina Skarren, daughter Kelly Lilly and son-in-law John Lilly, son Phillip Skarren; daughter Patrice Heatherington and son-in-law Benjamen Heatherington; Grandchildren; Kaitlyn DeMatteis, Ashley Skarren, Christian Wagner, Jonathan and Katie Lilly.
Tish was known for taking care of her family and always had a smile on her face. Outgoing to everyone she met, she was your friend forever. She enjoyed boating on Lake Erie with her friends and family, spending time on the Erie islands, and riding the thrilling roller coasters at Cedar Point. She enjoyed traveling through the Caribbean. She was the hostess with the mostest, always having delicious dishes for her friends and family parties, with freshly baked cookies for her children arriving home from school. She volunteered many hours to the St Philip and James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton including the Yankee Peddler festival and quilt-making with friends for their annual bazaar.
She graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL, and attended Webster University in Webster Groves, MO. Her volunteer activities included; President Fulton East Home Owners Association, and Presiding Judge of the Stark County Board of Elections, Co-Chair St Phillip, and James Bazaar Benefit Auction. While living in Naples, FL, she enjoyed her career as a supervisor representative for Skagen Design Watches and a marketing representative for Liz Claiborne and Fossil Watches.
The family will hold a celebration of life in Catawba/Marblehead, Ohio at a later date. For those wishing to donate in Tish’s memory, please send any donation to Aultman Hospice who provided endless support during this difficult time, or to the Alzheimer’s Association to find a cure for this terrible disease.
