Paul L. Roethlisberger
Age 90, died Tuesday Sept 9, 2025, following an extended illness. A life resident of Canton he was the son of the late Ernest & Betty (Jones) Roethlisberger, a graduate of McKinley High School class of 1954, served in the U.S. Army and retired from Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad in 2000. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and both the Canton Lodge #60 F. &A.M. and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Canton where he was coroneted a 32nd Degree Mason. Paul is survived by his wife, Joan (Marshalek) Roethlisberger of the home; daughters: Jessica Roethlisberger of Jamestown, TN, Rebecca Roethlisberger of Harbor Springs, MI; son, Paul (Lori) Roethlisberger of Canton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Roethlisberger; one brother and one sister. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Fr. David M. Misbrener as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Donations may be made in his name to St. Peter’s School.
