Raymond L. Gooding

Age 63, passed away May 8, 2025, following extended illness. Born in Canton he was a 1979 graduate of Timken High School, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony Campus and K of C, Holy Martyrs Council # 4733. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Donna (Maurer) Gooding of the home; son, Daniel (Melissa Bert) Gooding of Massillon; daughter, Allison (Frank) Rizzo of Canton; mother, Phyllis Gooding of Canton; brothers: James (Donna) Gooding of Navarre, David Gooding, Gary Gooding, Larry Gooding all of Canton; grandchildren: Emma, Linken and Raymond. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Gooding who died in 1992. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday May 16, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in St. Anthony Campus Church with Fr. Frederick “Fritz” Schlueter and Fr. Thomas Bishop as celebrants. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Donations may be made in his name to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1530 11th St SE, Canton, Ohio 44707.
