Robert E. Monick
Age 78, died Saturday following an extended illness. A life resident of the Canton area he was the son of the late James and Ethel (Alexander) Monick. He was a graduate of McKinley High School, worked as a manager for several area restaurants and was member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter: Michelle (David) Evans of Canton; son: Mark (Beth) Monick of Goodyear, AZ; sisters: Barb Morris, Carol Corrin both of Canton; grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Megan, Luke and Emily. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilou Monick who died in 2020; brothers: Ken Monick, Tom Monick, Rick Monick and Ted Monick. A funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 am in Crossroads United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Farmer and Rev. Harry Sebald officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their care and support. The Wackerly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made in his name to Crossroads United Methodist Church.
