Robert E. Monick

Age 78, died Saturday following an extended illness. A life resident of the Canton area he was the son of the late James and Ethel (Alexander) Monick. He was a graduate of McKinley High School, worked as a manager for several area restaurants and was member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter: Michelle (David) Evans of Canton; son: Mark (Beth) Monick of Goodyear, AZ; sisters: Barb Morris, Carol Corrin both of Canton; grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Megan, Luke and Emily. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilou Monick who died in 2020; brothers: Ken Monick, Tom Monick, Rick Monick and Ted Monick. A funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 am in Crossroads United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Farmer and Rev. Harry Sebald officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their care and support.
