Roger A. Pankratz

Age 80 of Canton died Monday April 11, 2022 following an extended illness. Born in California he was the son of the late John & Esther (Nikkel) Pankratz and had lived in the Stark County area most of his life. He was of the Mennonite faith, retired from Walmart working in the electronics department and in his spare time enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Chesson) Pankratz of the home; daughters: Kelli (Dennis) Miller of Hartville, Marcia (Bob) Pobelia of Hartville, Cheryl (Jerry) Campbell of Canton; son: Thomas (Chara) Peterson of Canton; brother: Willy (Bonnie) Buckley; grandchildren: Dallas, Josh (Gina), Shelby, Britni, Noel, Anthony, Rebekah, Anna Marie, Thomas Jr; and former wife: Ruth (Miller) Pankratz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Kristi Pankratz; brother: Jerry Buckley and sister Patsy Christman. Funeral services will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Gammill officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
