Ronald C. Harbert
Age 87, of Plain Township died Monday, April 12, 2021 following a brief illness. Born November 30, 1933 in Canton, Ohio he was the son of the late Clement & Anne (Mathis) Harbert. Ron was a 1952 Timken High School graduate, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired in 2000 as a real estate agent. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church where he served as an usher; Canton Council #341 Knights of Columbus where he served as Grand Knight, 4th degree Msgr. Edward P Graham Assembly #828 where he served as Faithful Navigator, past District Deputy State of Ohio Knights of Columbus where he was named Youngstown Diocese District Deputy of the year. Member of the Ohio and National Association of Relators and the Canton Elks #68. He was proceeded in death by grandson, Joshua Paul. He is survived by his wife: Ilo Patricia Harbert of the home with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage; daughter: Sharon Souliere of Cuyahoga Falls, sons: Steven (Karen) Harbert of Willowick; Lee (Susan) Harbert of Woodhaven, MI; Gregory (Lorrie) Harbert of Canton; sister: Beverly Drudge of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren: Brant, Nicole, Brandy (Joshua), Bryan (Tiffany), Barry, Tyler, Samantha, four great-grandchildren and several nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 am Little Flower Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Canon Christopher Henyk as celebrant. Burial and military honors for the family will be held in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. Friends may call Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for there compassion and care. Donations may be made in his name to Little Flower Catholic Church or Mercy Hospice.
