Rosalyn J. Rigsby, age 87, died Sunday June 7, 2026, following an extended illness. Born in LaPorte, IN, she had lived in Canton for last 15 years. She was a 1957 graduate of LaPorte High School, 1983 graduate of LaPorte Business College and worked as an executive secretary. She was a member of Canton Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to travel and had the privilege of seeing most of the United States and some travel abroad. Her favorite memory was seeing hot air balloons over Pikes Peak. Rosalyn is survived by her son, Thomas (Penny) Wilson of Smyrna, GA; daughters: Carleen (Richard) Hyatte of Rolling Prairie, IN, Sharon (Philip) Antley of Prosperity, SC, Marilyn (James) McCalla-Fagan of Barberton, Alison (Tom) Jones of Theodore, AL, daughter-in-Christ, Marlene Keens of Canton; brother, Norman VanSickle of LaPorte, IN; sister, Donna Marie Thompson of Flagler Beach, FL. 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Rigsby who died in 1995; parents, Raymond & Ethel VanSickle; sons, Bradley Wilson, Robert Wilson and brother Richard VanSickle. Funeral services will be Wednesday June 17, 2026, at 4:00 pm in Canton Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Mayle officiating. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the church. Donations may be made in her name to Canton Freewill Baptist Church.
