Rosemary T. Gaskell

Age 98, died Thursday July 11, 2024 in her home following an extended illness. A life resident of the Canton area she was the daughter of the late Louis & Marie (Schweizer) Salasek. She was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School and had worked for over thirty years at St. Raphael Center. Rosemary was a very active member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was deeply committed to her Catholic faith. She is survived by her son, Richard (Julia) Gaskell; daughter, Barbara Gaskell; daughter-in-law: Rhonda Gaskell all of Canton; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Gaskell who died in 2011; sons: Paul Gaskell, David Gaskell; great-granddaughter, Lily Gaskell; brothers: Lous Salasek, Albert Salasek, Fr. Raphael Salasek O.S.B. and Robert Salasek. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday July 15, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home.
