Sherry L (Frey) Bratschie

Sherry L. Bratschie,

age 72, of Canton died Wednesday in Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. She was born in New Castle, PA and lived in Canton most of her adult life. She was a graduate of New Castle High School class of 1963 and retired from Plain Local Schools in 2005. She was a member of Christ the Servant Catholic Parish and enjoyed volunteering

for both Aultman Hospital and the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. She is survived by her son: Jeffrey (Denise) Bratschie of Charlotte, NC; daughter: Leslie Marie (Dennis) Brown of Canton; sister: Judy (Phil) Blashak of Canton; grandchildren: Emily, Drew and Spencer. She was preceded in death by her sister: Nedra Mueler. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 5:00 pm at Christ the Servant Catholic Parish in Our Lady of Peace Church with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano as celebrant. A private burial will take place on Tuesday in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home and Monday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in the church. Donations may be made in her name to Aultman Hospice or Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
