Suzanne Dragomier, age 61, died on Monday, March 3 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on November 27, 1963 and graduated from McKinley Senior High School in 1982. Preceded in death by her parents, John David and Karen (Hilborn) Dragomier. She had the privilege of being caregiver to both in the final years of their lives. Survived by her brother John Anthony and sister-in-law Melinda (Johnson) Dragomier, nephew Anthony David and niece Grace Rebecca Dragomier, all of whom she loved very much. Also survived by her uncle, Gary (Barb) Dragomier, aunt, Lynne (Warner) Dragomier, and numerous cousins. Sue had a mix of jobs throughout her career, but she loved being a registered nurse and was most proud of being a preceptor for student nurses at Mercy Medical Center and her work at Crossroads Hospice. Sue enjoyed cooking, baking and cake decorating, including wedding cakes, and would share her cake decorating knowledge with anyone who asked. Sue also loved music and singing. She was a member of church choirs starting at a young age and was a cantor. She performed in high school, college and community choirs, both general and special groups. Sue had parts in high school musicals and traveled with her college choir during her junior year. Sue loved to travel. Her first flight was just before her first birthday. During high school, she traveled to England and France. She loved going to various beaches and amusement parks, including numerous visits to Disneyland and Disney World. However, her favorite vacations were cruising, having spent more than 100 nights aboard ships. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will take place at Wackerly Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8 at 1:30pm, with Chaplain Darrell Maze officiating followed immediately by a celebration of life at La Pizzaria, 3656 Dressler Road NW, Canton OH 44718. Tropical or brightly colored attire is requested. Suzanne has decided to take one final cruise and will be cremated followed by a burial at sea. In lieu of flowers and in accordance with her final wishes to support Tony and Grace, donations can be made to The Dragomier College Fund at CSE Federal Credit Union.
