Ted R. Lockmyer
Age 71 passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, following an extended illness. A life resident of Stark County, Ted was born on July 22, 1954 and was the son of the late Robert and Wilma (Repasky) Lockmyer. He was a graduate of North Canton Hoover High School class of 1973 and Stark Technical College. He retired from the Timken Company and enjoyed working as a caddy for over 50 years at Arrowhead and Brookside Country Clubs. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where he helped with the Parish Food Cupboard. He also belonged to the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and he was a driver for the Hall of Fame Festival every July. Ted was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Cleveland Guardians. He also loved to fish and would go with his friends to Lake Erie every year. His family and faith were very important to him. Ted is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Jurisch) Lockmyer; daughter, Julia (Aaron) Soltis and a grandson, Axel of Berea, OH; sister, Kay (Rusty) Minko of Myrtle Beach, SC and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Lockmyer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 am at Guardian Angels Parish at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. Bryan Tutas as celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon February 18, 2026 from 2 to 5 pm at the Wackerly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the St. Joan of Arc Parish Food Cupboard, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
