Thomas “Wally” E. Lewis III of Canton, OH passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness.
Anyone who knew Wally knows that the most important thing in his life was his family Carol (Woodring), TJ, Chris, Timmy, and partners Denise, Holly, and Kelcie. He spent his life serving his family, coaching his sons many teams over the years and always making time for the things that mattered to them. He was a loving “Papa” to his grandsons, Brock and Mason, and took every opportunity he had to show his love to them. His wife Carol was his queen. For 40+ years, through thick and thin, his dedication, love and commitment to her was evident to all. He was a dedicated brother, and caretaker to his sister Valarie. His legacy is the family he cared so much about.
Wally was a man of the people. He always made time in his busy days to talk to people, to listen to their struggles, to help pick them up when they were down. He was a friend to the friendless. He was a light for so many people in their darkest times. He was one of those people who knew someone everywhere he went. Because of this, he had “a guy” for everything, and in turn, he was many people’s “guy”. His impact on the people in his life, the people he helped and the community he served will be felt for decades to come.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday March 21, 2026, at 11:00 am at Christ the Servant Parish in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano as celebrant.
