Vivian Marcella Sautters
Vivian Marcella Sautters, 100, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 25th at St. Luke's Nursing Home in North Canton, Ohio. Vivian “Viv” was born January 12th, 1926 in Canton Ohio to Agnes (Mohn) and Julius Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Richard “Dick” Sautters, brothers Edward and George, sisters Mildred and Dolores, and daughter-in-law Denise Sautters (Dennis). Vivian is survived by her son Dennis Sautters, daughters Cindy Farmer (Steve Andrews), Sherri Trissel (Mike) and Connie Pifer (Tom), 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren She graduated from Lehman High School and was employed by Union Metal of Canton in her twenties, and Burlington Coat Factory in her later years. Most warm days you could find her outside tending to her flower gardens. She saved her own seeds and cuttings to start new plants and seedlings every year. Vivian loved to sing and was a regular at the piano bar at The Red Lantern, then later singing karaoke at Rumour's Cafe. Some of her favorite songs were “Crazy”, Tiny Bubbles” and “Black Dog”. She also enjoyed playing weekly on the local bowling league well up into her eighties. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 8th at 10am in Saint Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Peters as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday evening from 5 to 7pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to attend to honor and celebrate Vivian’s life.
