Judith M. Klar,

age 76, of Canton died Friday evening in Country Lawn Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Detroit she was the daughter of the late Lawrence & Jane (Soron) Dean and had lived in the Canton most of her life. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, a founding member of the Golden Buckeye Program, enjoyed playing pinochle, bowling and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Alan Klar and brother Robert Dean. She is survived by her sons: Fr. Joseph (Ada) Klarr of St. Louis, MO, Alex Klar of Youngstown, Nicholas Klar of Canton; daughter: Cynthia (William) Johnson of Dumfries, VA; brothers: Ronald (Grace) Dean of Detroit, MI, Roy Dean of Canton; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Edward L. Beneleit as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 5 to 7 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her name to Catholic Charities of Stark County.
