Shirley A. Paone

age 71 of Canton died Saturday in Aultman Compassionate Care following a brief illness. A life resident of Canton she was the daughter of the late Nick & Anna (Barson) Vona, was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of St. Mary/St. Benedict Catholic Parish. She was employed at the Stark County Juvenile Detention Center and then the Stark County Treasurer office retiring in 2010. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jerry Vona and Charles Vona. She is survived by her husband: Robert Paone of the home; sons: Christopher (Brenda) Paone of Charlotte, NC, Robert (Joni) Paone of Canal Fulton; Timothy Paone of Alliance; brother: Nick (Nancy) Vona of Charlotte, NC; sister: Vivian Hunrighouse of Canton; grandchildren: Derek, Logan, Alexis and Perry.
